Bookazine has enjoyed steady growth and success since its founding in 1929, by Ruwin and Jacob Kallman. The company originally specialized in exporting magazines to Europe, then gradually moved into paperback and hardcover book sales to the U.S. Many of the early years were spent at a location on West 10th Street in Manhattan, where booksellers were able to walk the aisles and choose their books personally while chatting with owner Irwin Kallman and his sons Robert and Richard. One constant throughout the Kallman's three generations, spanning 75+ years, has been a commitment to friendly and personalized service for each and every customer. Today, that translates into high fill-rates, fast turn-around, and sales associates who treat your store as if it were their own. |
